Many of you have probably read AI2027. If not, I highly recommend it — short but chilling.<p>What surprised me most wasn’t the predictions, but the lack of response from those who are closest to the issue: governments, research labs, and tech companies.<p>Agent-4+ (as described) could plausibly lead to either human extinction or a global surveillance state — yet no one seems to be doing much to avoid that.<p>So here’s my question:
How realistic do you think the timeline is? And what could we — as the broader tech community — actually do to change its course?<p>Bonus idea:
What if we built a simple app or site that tracks AI2027 events in real time?<p>It could scan trusted news feeds / APIs<p>Match events to key AI2027 milestones<p>Notify users if something significant has happened<p>Basically a "timeline tracker" for existential risk.<p>Thoughts?
