Overleaf is down. https://status.overleaf.com/<p>There are people who are not going to graduate because of this. There are conference papers that will miss deadlines.<p>My daughter has a dissertation deadline coming up - but has backups and she has TexStudio installed. A bit of extra work maybe, but no disaster. For a lot of other people it is going to have real consequences.<p>Relying on SaaS gives you a single point of failure and the results can be disastrous.
