It seems that there is a general bearishness with respect to AI progress on this site. I feel that skepticism is warranted, but it seems that every few months a new AI development completely undoes many assumptions about what AI will "never" be able to do.<p>There is a universe where AI models continue to improve until they eclipse humans at all cognitive tasks, with fine motor tasks (via humanoid and other types of robots) soon to follow.<p>In this universe, assuming we are still alive after that point, what would have been the best thing to do if we could go back in time to mid-2025 and tell our past selves exactly how to live life optimally, given that this happens?<p>This post isn't about whether AGI will happen soon or is possible or not, I'm just wondering that, given the hypothetical, what would be the best course of action based on what we know?
