Tried asking GPT-5 to calculate:
356181.267*(12+572)/2-6752<p>First reply used reasoning mode and got it wrong. Only after I said “use external calculator” did it manage to use Python code to get the right answer.<p>Why doesn't it automatically switch to the calculator for basic math now in late 2025? Design trade-off, or something else?
