我明年将在欧洲完成数学学位。<p>问题是：我完成学业时已经37岁了。我在生活中经历了职业转变。<p>我对未来的职业方向有些迷茫。我考虑过攻读量化金融或人工智能研究的硕士学位，但我听说在大多数自营交易公司，想要获得面试机会需要是年轻的天才，而对于像我这样的普通人来说，目前走上人工智能这条路的可行性我并不确定。<p>我感觉在获得学位后，我需要一些研究生项目来学习编程和其他“实用”的技能，老实说，我对此有点期待。<p>如果你在某个使用数学或相关技能的行业工作，我很想知道在我的情况下你会怎么做，任何建议都将非常宝贵。<p>谢谢！

I'm going to finish a degree in mathematics next year (in Europe).<p>The catch: I'll be 37 when I finish. I had a change of careers later in life.<p>I'm a bit lost on what to pursue professionally. I've looked into getting a Master's in quant/finance or AI research but I've read you need to be a young genius in order to get an interview in most of the prop shops, and for AI I don't know how feasible that path is right now for a regular guy like me.<p>I get the impression that I need some graduate program after my degree in order to pick up programming and other "useful" skills, and to be honest, I'm kinda looking forward to it.<p>If you are in some sort of industry that uses math or math-adjacent skills I'd love to know what would you do in my situation, any advice will be golden.<p>Thank you!
