At the end of 2023, I posted a raw video in /r/CombatFootage showing IDF soldiers being hit by Hezbollah. No commentary, no mocking.Two weeks ago, my 10-year-old Reddit account (with no prior warnings) was permanently suspended, with that video cited as the reason.Meanwhile, during the same war, dozens of videos showing the IDF attacking stayed up. Dozens of videos of Russians dying are still posted daily.My appeal of the suspension has gone unanswered. The moderation seems less about “combat footage” and more about which side is shown losing.
