Arduino

There was a lot of speculation here about why Qualcomm would pay so much for Arduino. I believe that question has been answered by Limor Freid (LadaAda of AdaFruit) in her LinkedIn post here: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/adafruit_opensource-privacy-techpolicy-activity-7396903362237054976-r14H/
I know a lot of people avoid LinkedIn like the plague, but the two key bits are that Qualcomm's new "Terms of Service" explicitly disallow reverse engineering, claim IP ownership of anything submitted to the platform, and claim a right to use any and all data associated with accounts connected to Arduino for pretty much any purpose they want. Limor goes into more detail but at the end of the day I agree with her assessment that this will be the end of Arduino.
