问HN：为什么公司对远程员工如此不信任？
我刚刚拒绝了一家位于湾区的优质公司的工作，因为他们在远程工作方面毫不妥协。我已经在远程工作，自疫情以来一直如此，这对我和我的雇主都很有效。我偶尔会出差，但每当我出差时，总会想：“哇，我在家里能做得更多。”
我一直对整个“返岗工作”（RTO）的故事持怀疑态度。我整天都在电脑前工作，连接着互联网，能够远程完成我工作的各个方面，毫无疑问。此外，现在很多公司都在追踪我们的鼠标移动和按键记录，工作完成了，他们也知道我们在工作。

与此同时，许多公司将一切资源投入到人工智能（AI）上（而AI是可以远程工作的），并因此裁员，然后制定荒谬的办公室政策，削减福利。这让人不禁想，为什么他们如此不信任员工。

I just passed on a job for a quality company in the Bay area because they wouldn't budge on remote work. I already work remote and have since the pandemic and it works for me and my employer. I do travel occasionally, but whenever I do I always think "wow, I'd get so much more done right now at home."<p>I've always been skeptical of the entire RTO storyline. I literally work on a computer all day with an Internet connection and can complete every aspect of my job remotely, no if, ands, or buts, about it. Also, at this point many are tracking our mouse movements and key strokes, and the work gets done, so they know we're working too<p>I'm used to the short sided mindset at this point, but the situation just got me thinking about it again.<p>Meanwhile, companies are throwing everything at AI (which works remotely), laying off employees to do so, and then having obsurd in office policies and skimping on benefits. Just makes you wonder why they distrust people so much.
